Empowering Women & Underrepresented Leaders

Find your voice, your strengths and your true leadership path

As an Asian American woman, I’m acutely aware of the external societal influences, expectations and biases we face, as well as our own inner critics or condioned belief systems that get in our way. I’m especially passionate about empowering female and underrepresented leaders to reconnect with their values and vision to lead from a place of authenticity. Business is better, creativity and innovation improve, and teams achieve more when all voices are heard and all perspectives are valued.

FOR WOMEN LEADERS

I facilitate a women’s leadership group at a technology company well-known for advancing women’s issues, and even among these amazing, empowered, whip-smart women I hear confessions of imposter syndrome, glass ceilings, double standards, over-pleasing, perfectionism, and other limitations to potential.

With a coaching focus on re-launching from a new perspective, I help women leaders shed the expectations of others, define success and achievement for themselves, and discover individual purpose so they can lead from a powerful and empowered place, with an authentic and emboldened voice.

FOR LEADERS OF COLOR AND OTHER UNDERREPRESENTED LEADERS

There are still real barriers that impede underrepresented leaders. As a person of color, I appreciate that these barriers can be both external and internal.

I work with underrepresented leaders to help them find and use their distinct voice. I not only want you to earn leadership positions, I want to ensure you have the mindset, strategies, tools and awareness to thrive in these positions. Because our companies need our perspectives if they’re to be innovative, creative, sustainable and successful.

I know that when you’re an under-represented population at your organization, asked to step into a leadership role, you may…

  • Not have the same access to mentors and role models
  • Feel the extra burden to defy stereotype, or broadly represent your race and gender
  • Be at greater risk of imposter syndrome, double standards, perfectionism and suspecting tokenism
  • Face conscious or unconscious bias
  • Feel you lack insider knowledge of C-Suite culture and protocol
  • Have greater difficulty showing emotion and authenticity, which is critical to building trust

We can work together to ensure that you…

  • Show up empowered and confident, rather than constantly conforming to expectations, real or presumed
  • Get to the core of inner narratives and underlying assumptions that may be holding you back and keeping you safe
  • Explore and discover your values and your purpose, so you can lead from that place
  • Always have a safe place to talk through challenges, with someone you trust to listen, empathize, advocate, challenge, reflect, support and co-create the conditions for your success.

I am so grateful for my partnership with Jenn. I now see clearly that my striving, achieving, and tendancy to please was hurting me personally and professionally. She empowered me to rediscover my values and purpose…and how to ask for what I need so I could lead from a courageously authentic place.
